Introducing Four Research Agents in Rémis

By Alex Carlson

Rémis now has four new tools that do something the original eight do not. Instead of working only from the data built into the platform, they research live. They search the web, read the pages they find, and check every claim against a source before it reaches your report.

The four agents are Opportunity Scan, Grant Finder, Vendor Diligence, and Implementation Kickoff. They are included in the same $75 pack, which now covers 12 tools and 24 credits, with no change in price.

How the agents work

Each agent runs a series of research steps rather than a single pass. It searches, reads, decides what is still missing, and searches again before writing anything.

Three rules apply to all four.

Sourced or dropped. A claim without a source is rejected before it reaches the report. Every page an agent used is listed at the end, so you can check its work.

A cost limit on every run. Each run has a spending cap, so an agent cannot wander or run up costs chasing a dead end.

No credit lost on an empty search. If a Grant Finder search confirms no programs, the credit is returned.

The examples below come from the sample dental practice used on remis.business, a fictional 9-person family dental office in Austin, Texas.

Opportunity Scan

The Opportunity Scan reads a business's public footprint, including its website, listings, and reviews, and maps what it finds to concrete automation opportunities. Each idea comes with quoted evidence, its source, and the Rémis tool to run next.

It also refuses to guess. It gives no estimate of hours saved unless an industry benchmark supports one.

Grant Finder

Federal, state, and local programs help pay for exactly the kind of technology many small businesses are budgeting for, but they are scattered across agency pages and change often. The Grant Finder searches them for your industry, state, and size, and keeps only programs it confirmed on the program's own page.

For the sample practice, it confirmed four programs, with a possible combined value ranging from $8,100 to $98,600. One was rated likely eligible, a state program that pays per trained employee. Each program comes with its amount, its rules, its deadline, and a plan for the week.

Vendor Diligence

Vendor Diligence vets up to three finalist vendors before anyone signs. It researches each one separately, checking price, security claims, and fit against sources, and returns a decision memo with a verdict per vendor and the conditions to meet before signing.

In the sample, it consulted 129 pages across three vendors. It caught that the booking tool the plan had picked did not connect to Dentrix, the practice's existing system, so the memo changed the pick. It set three conditions before signing, a written quote, a signed business associate agreement, and clear contract terms.

Implementation Kickoff

Implementation Kickoff turns a saved Strategy Report into a day-one rollout for the vendor you chose. It builds only from that report. Anything the report does not state is marked as not stated instead of being filled in.

The output is a 30, 60, and 90-day plan, a staff announcement, a data checklist, and questions to ask the vendor during onboarding. For the sample practice, that meant 12 milestones, each with a clear test for done, a signed business associate agreement in week one before any patient data entered the new tool, and 8 onboarding questions. The milestones carry straight into the Pilot Tracker.

Where they fit

The 12 tools follow four stages. Assess, plan, vet, and track. The Opportunity Scan joins the assess stage, the Grant Finder joins plan, Vendor Diligence joins vet, and Implementation Kickoff starts the track stage. Most owners will start with the Readiness Audit, then use the agents once there is a plan to research against.

Frequently asked questions

Do the agents cost extra? No. They are part of the same $75 pack, which now includes two runs of each of the 12 tools.

How do I know the agents' findings are real? Every claim must have a source to appear in the report, and every page used is listed at the end of the report.

What happens if the Grant Finder finds nothing? If a search confirms no programs, the credit is returned.
